Bike Month Bike Relay

Neighbourhood Bike Relay

The goal of the relay is to complete as many loops or kilometers as your team can in the last 2 weeks of bike month. June 16 to June 30 2021 the Everyone Rides Initiative (ERI) is hosting a Neighbourhood Bike Relay

Steps to Participate

1. Gather a team of friends, family, or colleagues (virtually), minimum of 2 riders per team.
2. Choose a team name.
3. Review and choose a route from below to ride with your team. (see notes below about creating your own loop)
4. Log in to Strava and join the ERI Neighbourhood Bike Relay (NBR) group with your team name.
5. Each rider from your team will complete a route in the NBR group under your team name.
6. Each rider completes ONE loop of the route selected and then passes it off to the next team member to ride. You must wait for your other team members to complete their route before you can ride again.
7. Remember it is a RELAY, you are handing off the end of the route to the next rider to complete their part.

Choosing a Route

It is important to choose ONE route that all your team members will ride. If the routes listed below do not suit you and your team you can create your own route. Things to consider when choosing your team loop:

1. Choose a route that is in your shared or extended neighbourhood with your team.
2. Create a route the is about 5 km.

You have your team, you have selected a route now you are ready to ride what is next:
