Hamilton Bike Share is excited to present our inaugural FREE RIDE DAY, brought to you by Cogeco. Free Ride Day is coming your way on Sunday, June 7th from 9 AM - 9 PM, where you can ride for up to 3 hours on us, using any Hamilton Bike Share bike in our service area with an existing HBS account. 

How to Ride Free on June 7th: 

1. Sign in to your existing account OR create a new Pay As You Go account in the Social Bicycles app. You will need a valid email and credit card to register. Select the $0 prefill option if you do not wish to add any additional credit.

1. Use the in-app map to find a bike near you. To unlock a bike, scan the QR code at the back of the bike and remove the U-Bar. Remember to always bring the U-Bar with you! Store it securely in the holster slot parallel to the rear wheel.

1. Ride for up to 3 hours in one trip or across multiple smaller trips between 9 AM - 9 PM on Sunday, June 7th.

1. To end your trip, use the U-Bar to lock your bike to any Bike Share hub for free, or lock to a public post or bike rack for a $1 convenience fee.

All our regular operating rules and fees for additional features, like out of hub locking and multi-bike rentals, continue to apply! Stay in our service area (between Dundas and Kenilworth Ave in the lower city) and never leave a bike unlocked and unattended. Always ensure bikes are locked to secure fixed objects when making a stop.
