Group rides help individuals feel more confident and comfortable to ride on the road. They are also great opportunities to meet fellow cyclists. ERI Group Rides are open to riders of all skill levels and are designed and planned to explore our city, visit new places and roll together.
In 2020 due to COVID, we were unable to host any face-to-face/bike-to-bike rides. However, we did launch a series of maps, routes and rides that we could all enjoy as individuals and within our bubbles. In 2021, we are hoping to host a series of face-to-face/bike-to-bike rides so stay tuned - sign up to our newsletter or follow us on social media to stay in the loop. We miss everyone.
In the meantime, check out our ERI Maps page for bike ride ideas: HamOnt Healthy Loop, Magnolia Map (best for Spring rides) and the Mural Map, which plots over 100 murals in Hamilton and provides route suggestions to maximize your exposure to the murals.
If you would like to suggest a Healthy Loop that you have been enjoying, a mural in your neighbourhood, a Magnolia tree that is near by or another mapping idea please email us with your ideas [email protected]
HamOnt Bike Month 2021: Neighbourhood Bike Relay
June 16 to June 30 2021 the Everyone Rides Initiative (ERI) is hosting a Neighbourhood Bike Relay. The goal of the relay is to complete as many loops or kilometers as your team can in the last 2 weeks of bike month.
We will provide you with the set loops for each neighbourhood, then each team member will take their turn completing a loop. When one team member is done with their loop, then the next team member will complete the same loop.
